  2. For me it is important that whatever technological changes come, building up relationships will always be at the base of learning.

  3. We feel that it is important to realize how quickly things change, especially when it comes to new technologies, information and ideas. Students need to feel valued by the teacher, since all of them have different experiences and strengths to share. We, as teachers, should be constantly evaluating the teaching impact we make on our students. It is extremely important that all teachers have the feeling and need to improve and be better. Reflection, therefore, becomes essential. Anna & Cristina

  4. For me, the most important thing this article says is that "we do not have to change everything, but we need to continuously evaluate our practices and the impact on students to grow and get better". We just need new resources and initiatives, and that's why we are here.

    Thanks for sharing so much!

  5. "In a world that is becoming more and more complex, students need to know that they can trust the educators to see them as individual". This is one of the sentences that I like the most. It's true that most of the time we teach to the whole group of students and we forget about the indiviaduals. Every single student needs to know that you care about them and this makes them feel better. There's something we must not forget: if students feel well they will bereadey tol earn more!

  6. I've never thought of a teacher as an artist. I think this concept includes many of the wonders of this profession: creativity, leadership, emotion, engagement, commitment ...
And getting better is not because of failure, but to achieve greater success.

  7. Hi,

These are the quotes I consider that could be useful to think of in my teaching practice.
    - If you know better, you have to do better.
    - When you are networked, great ideas often find you, not the other way around.
    - The smartest person in the room is the room.” If that is true, how big is your room? How do you access this “room” to be better for your students?
    - Remember…innovation is probably not in your curriculum, but neither are worksheets.13

    - ensuring schools are not only relevant, but leaders in our global communities.

    - a great teacher is a great artist

    - give them the opportunities to lead from where they are

    - People have to feel something.

    - Innovation is about creating “new and better” things; it can be iteration (a remix of something) or invention (something totally new), but it has to be better.

    - To create the best experiences for students, you need access to the best ideas; this can come from anyone and anywhere.

    - “We do not learn from experience, we learn from reflecting on experience.” John Dewey

    - We do not have to change everything, but we need to continuously evaluate our practices and the impact on students to grow and get better.

  8. I love and totally agree with the idea that teachers need recycling or we die 'cause... As the world continuously moves forward, if you stand still, you are ultimately falling behind'
And I also believe in a teacher to be..
*RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: Do we seek to simply engage them in content, or do we seek to empower them to create? We need to HELP PP TO BE CREATIVE
*INCLUSIVE-As the world continuously moves forward, if you stand still, you are ultimately falling behind.
    *RESPECTFUL AND ENRICH FROM DIVERSITY
*REFLECTIVE- Reflection becomes essential in this process.
*NETWORKED- Creating diverse networks in and out of education is crucial
*LEADER AND STORYTELLER-Positive leaders can influence our students
*ARTIST AND DESIGNER- Make our pupils be creative and design their own ideas, projects..

  9. In my opinion, one of the highlights of the article is that it reminds you not only to focus on the use of technologies but also to connect with students at an emotional level, an area often underdeveloped due to our personality, lack of training and set of priorities.

  10. The most important thing at the end of the schoolyear is the relationship you have established with your students:personal and in the classroom context. Maybe a student has good marks but if the connection with him or her has been poor or inexistent, the whole learning experience is not consistent enough to be remembered in the future

  11. Students learn through reflection. We need to find a way to make them think. Lectures, if done, need to involve students so as they remember something of what's been taught. Practical lectures make them apply what's being taught.

  12. 2 ideas to bear in mind.
1.If we want meaningful change, we have to make a connection to the heart before we make a connection to the mind.

    2. The learning environment matters. How does the space make people feel?
Definitely true. Just I'd like to get some tools to make it easier to happen.

  13. These are some of the points that I found interesting to be mentiones.
The idea that if we know better, we can do bettter
Out World is continuously changing. So technology only gives us tools to handle this change.
Relationship Builder: empower student to create, they must feel valued and that they can trust educators
Learner adapter: Teachers improve because they need to be better; every individual ( students) has experiences to share and explain.
The teacher also has to provide a good atmosphere where students feel at ease in order to learn.
Access to tools allow them the resources and space to do what’s best for the learners in their classrooms.

  14. George Couros places the «relationship builder» characteristic first because, in my view, it is the most important. All children need to feel valued and trusted. They need to feel comfortable and safe in the classroom environment. In fact we all need to feel like this. Both teachers and students need to feel valued. When a child feels he is valued he will feel empowered to do his best. When a teacher feels valued he will do his best too.
